Referral intake and admissions

Managed care coordination and revenue functions
Kairo runs the non-clinical work around every care transition — intake, scheduling, order management, discharge follow-through and billing — for hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home health agencies. Inside your systems, for a fixed monthly fee per function, sized to volume and tied to the targets you agree.
We run the function. Your licensed team keeps every clinical decision.

Founding team experience
Kairo's founders built and run a care coordination program operating across 12 states. Over its two most recent completed reporting months, that program averaged more than 1,000 patients coordinated, 13,000 outreach calls and 12,000 visits scheduled each month. Kairo brings the same operating model to hospitals and post-acute providers with its own dedicated team.

How it works
Each engagement starts narrow, in your systems, with shared definitions of the work and the reporting.
Weeks 1–2
We map your volume, work queues, current operating setup, escalation needs, and today’s cost.
Weeks 3–6
We agree the functions we will run, the targets, scripts, escalation paths, and system access with your team.
Weeks 7–10
Kairo takes over the agreed functions inside your systems on one unit, service line, facility or branch.
Every month
Monthly report against agreed targets, quality review, and a decision at day 90.
Why a managed function
Adding people—on payroll or through a contractor—still leaves you managing the work. Kairo takes the function off your desk and is accountable for the results.
| Hiring staff | Contract workforce | Kairo managed function | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who manages the work | Your managers | Your managers | Kairo team lead |
| Cover for absences and turnover | Yours to find | Yours to find | Built in |
| Quality review | Up to you | Rarely included | Weekly QA |
| Targets and monthly reporting | Up to you | Rarely included | Agreed targets, monthly report |
| Data protection | Your policies | Varies | BAA, work only inside your systems |
| How you pay | Salary plus overhead | Contract fees | Fixed monthly fee per function, sized to volume |
Your assessment compares Kairo’s fee with the full cost of running the work in-house, and with the revenue faster, cleaner work brings in.
Request an assessmentWhat you see every month
Targets are agreed with you before go-live. Kairo is accountable for them, and reports against them every month.
Share of patients or families contacted within the agreed post-discharge window.
Completion of follow-up appointment coordination before or after transition.
Requests completed and continuity records confirmed to the next care setting.
Defined non-clinical exceptions routed and resolved through your escalation process.
Approved feedback and call-quality measures for the communication experience.
Claims accepted on first submission, denials resolved, and A/R over 60 days.
A clear boundary
Kairo runs non-clinical and administrative functions, including billing under your policies. Clinical judgment, medical advice, triage, and diagnosis coding stay with your team, and your organization remains responsible for claims submitted under its provider numbers. Any symptom or clinical question goes to your staff through the escalation path you set.
